I’ve been reading a lot of blogs about couponing. I’ve never been good at using coupons but I’ve been inspired to give it a try. I bought a binder on ebay and have set up a system for coupons. Today was the first day I tested it out. I went to Albertsons and I spent a total of $93.82, but I saved $71.56, I’m very exited about that! Here’s some of the deals I got:
Buy a Tyson Heat N Eat dish (I got bourbon Beef) $7.49
Buy a Country Crook Sides $5.49 w/.50 off PC =4.99
And Buy a Fresh Express salad kit $4.49 w/ .50 off PC= 3.99
Then use the $5.00 off meal deal coupon
On the Country Crook the was a coupon for $1.00 store packaged meat (ground beef was on sale for $1.99 a lb so I was about to use the cpn on that)
Plus I had a .55 off cpn for the Tyson Heat N Eat.
Retail Total $17.47, total after cpn, $10.92 (plus I got the coupon for $1.00 off the meat)
They also had a deal where you buy one Sara Lee Pie for $6.39, then you get one pie free PLUS two free Breyers Ice Cream. So retail on that $25.56, but I paid $6.39
I used some other coupons too, but nothing too big.

The horrors of Dial-Up
I am going crazy!! First I was with out internet service for about 3 days. I paid the bill online but I guess either I did not hit “submit” or they screwed up on their end because they did not take the money out of my checking so they shut us off. By the time I figured it out it was time to pay rent so I did not have extra money to pay the internet bill. I’ve tried not to care about the internet but my husband is starting his own construction business and has got a lot of clients off of craigslist so we need the net. My husband remembered years ago his friend told him about a dial up # that was free to use, but he could not remember the # and could not get a hold of the friend except by email. Arrggghhhh. I searched on my cell phone using the internet on it (hope I don’t get charged an arm and a leg) I found some free dial up numbers for the Seattle area (we live in Washington) but those #s are long distance for us and we do not have unlimited long distance on the phone. Lol. So we did use that number for a few days until today when my husbands’ friend gave us the local free dial up number. Whew… So now at least we have the internet but it’s so slow!!!! But at least it’s free right??

Halloween Pictures
We went trick o' treating in my ex-husbands neighborhood so that our daughter could be with both of us. I forgot my camera but he had one so here are a few pictures.
This is me as the zombie construction worker, Emma and Lily as witches.
Crystal is a Spider Queen.
This is a pic of all the kids that we went around with.
It was a good night and not too cold. We walked around for about an hour in a very done up neighborhood. Lots of fun, I even went in a haunted house. I screamed, lol.

Corn Mazes are FUN!
We took the kids to a pumpkin patch yesterday that also had a corn maze. The maze did cost get in but you got little cards with pumpkin trivia questions. The object was to find 5 posts with the answers to the questions and then punch the cards with the hole punch at each post. Once you had your card full and found your way out each card was good for a free small to med size pumpkin.
It was a lot of fun. I forgot to take pictures…but the girls get to go to another pumpkin patch today with their girl scouts troop.
After I got home I thought it would be neat to look up corn maze pictures online. I found some political ones. I saved the pictures to post but I forgot to keep track of the website I found them on…ooops

8 Things about ME!
Tag, I’m it! I’ve been tagged by Lori at Confessions of a Baltimore Housewife I do love a good game of tag so here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
Hmmm I hope I can come up with 8 random facts about me….Think, think, think…
Ok…
1. I love Tattoos (I have 4 tattoos and plan on getting more) but don’t care for piercings.
2. I love makeup! But not drug store makeup, If it costs less than $15 I don’t want it on my face. Weird I know.
3. I love musicals, (think Grease, or Mulan Rouge) sometimes I will just bust out in a song about whatever I’m doing. I think we should all sing more.
4. I now work in an industrial area in a job that is typically meant for a man, and sometimes I wonder if I’m strong enough to do it.
5. I don’t like chocolate ice cream.
6. I love plain vanilla ice cream.
7. I don’t like chocolate cake.
8. My favorite is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummy
Whheeeewww I made it, ok maybe I cheated a little with the last few but oh well, lol.
Now I’m going go seek some of you to be tagged….

It’s been a long week!
I started my new job last Monday. I’m very excited about it! I’d love to tell you all about it, but it’s on a “need-to-know” basis, lol. Well I can tell you it’s a government job, and I will be learning how to be a Rigger. If you don’t know, a Rigger basically is a mover, but in a higher and harder capacity. Like we tie up loads to the cranes, and help the cranes move around the shipyard. It’s actually really cool!!
So today is my last day at my old work. I’m very happy to be done being a waitress. It’s been a long few years.
Along with my job I have to go to school twice a week after work. So I’m going to be one busy gal! I’m getting ready for church now so I’ll chat with you all later!
